main heat exchanger

Did you ever stop to wonder how your house stays warm in the winter and cool in the summer? This is all extremely interesting, and it takes place as a result of what something known as an HVAC system. HVAC refers to Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning. Continue reading this post to discover everything you need to know about the main heat exchanger in your central air. This step is important in order to maintain the comfortable atmosphere even when it would still be cold or warm outside.

The most important HVAC component is the heat exchanger. Its function is to transport heat from one location to another. The main heat exchanger needs to be reliable in order for your house to feel warm and cozy when it is freezing outside.

How the Main Heat Exchanger Regulates Temperature in Your Home

The way it does this is by drawing cold, air outside your home into the HVAC system. The primary heat exchanger then warms this cold air, using BTUs from say a gas furnace or an electric heat pump. After heating the air, it is blown back into your home through ducts (channels that hold the heated or cooled air). That makes sure all the rooms in your home receive plenty of warm air to keep them feeling as cozy warm.

And it even helps cool down your home in the summertime since that main heat exchanger can serve as an A/C evap. These do this by pushing hot air from inside your home to outside. It ensures that the cool air from your AC is circulated in and around your home, this helps it to be a relaxing place during sizzling days.
